The baptistery is a beautiful Romanesque building dating back to the XI-XII centuries and was probably built on the ruins of a pagan temple. Sources report that they hold the relics of Saints Lorenzo and Vendemiale, brought to Treviso in the seventh century. The facade is divided by pilasters, crowned with arches resting on carved corbels. On the pediment thereís a bas-relief from the fourteenth century that shows the beheading of St. John the Baptist. On either side of the doorway there are some friezes from Roman times . inside the baptistery in the center is the baptismal font in red marble. in small apses at the sides of the main altar are Romanesque-Byzantine frescoes: <br />
