Ottieni indicazioni

The monumental gateway to the north of the city owes its construction to the Podesta Paolo Nani in the early '500, by William D'Alzano Bergamo. Outside on the central arch, are the words: "Port de Saint Thomas" in Venetian dialect. On the arch facing the city, the same inscription can be found in Latin language "Porta Sancti Thomae - Dominus custodiat introitum et exitum tuum" to point out the difference between the aristocratic culture of the town and the countryside.
