An inscription found under the eaves is to date the construction of the building between 1276 and 1277 at the time of the Podesteria of Giacomo da Perugia. Such registration may indeed refer only pictorial decoration, for Luigi Bailo and Louis Coletti, however, the generic expression "<em> hoc opus factum est " refers to the whole building. By the end of fifteenth La Loggia became warehouse, as demonstrated by the numerous contracts signed by the Representatives of the College of Nobles.
