Fossalunga | parrish church

The present church was built on an area ceded by Ravagnin, between 1754 and 1787 and was embellished by the will of Monsignor Lorenzo Crico between 1802 and 1825. The famous Venetian painter Giovan Battista Canal, who created the great ceiling painting of ëThe Martyrdom and the Glory of St. Agathaí, and the painter and decorator Giuseppe Borsato, who created the architectural panels and "false architetture", were commissioned to create the frescoes. From Canal there are also The Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishesí of the left wall and ëThe Collection of Mannaí on the right wall.
