Fanzolo | Emo’s family venetian villa

Villa Emo is located near Fanzolo. Leonardo Emo, a representative of a noble Venetian family, had it built based on a Palladio design. It is not the first time that Palladio was contacted by wealthy landowners, who found him to be an architect capable of combining practical and celebratory elements. In 1565 the villa in all its glory was the scene of the marriage of Leonardo Emo and Cornelia Grimani.
