The Villa is commonly known as the 'Villa of the Queen' because it was the property of Queen Cornaro who around the end of the 1400s was constricted to give her kingdom to the Venetian Republic in exchange for the fiefdoms of Asolo and Castelfranco. Erected in the 1500s, the building had various modifications including a renovation in the Palladian style completed in the 1700s. The rich interior features paintings, stucco and decorated floors.
