Gorgazzo Stream in Polcenigo with the Bell Tower of the Church of San Rocco

This building, of uncertain foundation, possibly from the 14th or 15th century, is characterized by its unusual square-section bell tower, which is low and stout. It is presumed that this bell tower repurposed an ancient medieval tower that once protected the village.
Dedicated to the saint traditionally regarded as a protector against the plague and other infectious diseases, the church was once located right at the entrance of the settlement, almost like a heavenly sentinel tasked with keeping contagion from entering.
