Musile di Piave | Intestadura Basin

The river Piave was diverted by the blockage between Musile and Caposile and by creating a new riverbed from Musile till Cortellazzo in the 1641-1664. The Piave was originally gone, passed musile, to west following the Piave Vecchia riverbed till Caposile, ending in Cavallino. The hollow regultes the flood and allows to go over the difference in height between Piave and Piave Vecchia permitting the navigation.
