Casale sul Sile | Carraresi tower

The first group of citizen settled around the castle in the Middle Ages. That castle had been used by Da Caminos family against the Venitian. The advantageous position, on the meander, was strategic to control the navigation to Treviso. At a later time the Carraresis occupyed the castle and added a new tower. The circular one is still there, the rectangular, the oldest one, had been destroied before the ‘800.
