Polcenigo | Sanctuary of the Holy Trinity

The first records date back to the 14th century, but the sanctuary was already an important place of pilgrimage in 1400, celebrated for its ability to bring fertility and ward off drought.
Rebuilt between the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century at the behest of the Franciscan friars, it features architecture typical of that period: a large portico to welcome pilgrims, an imposing portal decorated with the Franciscan coat of arms, and a single, large nave leading to a raised presbytery.
