Carbonera | Villa Veneta Tiepolo Passi
24 Via Brigata Marche Carbonera
The Villa stands on the ancient embankment of a Paleovenetian Castelliere, which later became a Roman military garrison. In this geographically strategic location, the noble and powerful Venetian Tiepolo family decided to build their country residence. The first settlement dates back to the early 16th century and the villa reached its present size a century later, according to the stylistic designs of Vincenzo Scamozzi and by Ermolao Tiepolo, Procurator of St. Mark's and Senator of the Republic. In the 19th century, the Villa, enriched and embellished over the centuries by renowned artists, passed, through family ties, to the Conti Passi de Preposulo family, who still live there today.
